The fine print

Policies

Short version: be 18+, give 48hours' notice for changes, and your deposit always goes toward your treatment.

Booking & deposits

  • Consultations are free and require no deposit. Treatment bookings require a small deposit that is applied in full to your treatment — it's a commitment, not an extra fee.
  • Final treatment pricing depends on your personalized plan (per unit / per syringe) and is confirmed at your appointment before anything is done.
  • All clients must be 18 years of age or older.
  • New injectable clients must complete a consultation before their first treatment.

Rescheduling & cancellation

  • Reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before your appointment using the link in your confirmation email — deposits are refunded in full.
  • Inside 48 hours, online changes close — please calland we'll do our best to accommodate you. Late cancellations may result in the deposit being retained.
  • No-shows forfeit their deposit. Life happens — if something serious comes up, reach out and we'll be reasonable.
  • Arriving more than 15 minutes late may require rebooking to protect the next client's appointment.

Your privacy

  • Booking collects only what scheduling needs: your name, email, phone number, and any note you choose to leave.
  • Your health information — intake answers, signed consents, treatment details, and (only with your separate photo consent) clinical photographs — is kept as part of your health record, stored in Canada (our database and file storage are hosted in the Canada Central region), with access limited to your care provider. Photos are never used for marketing and are viewable only through private, expiring links.
  • A few trusted services help us operate, each receiving only what its job needs: Stripe for payments (we never see or store your card number) and our email provider for booking and care communications.
  • How we use AI, honestly. We use an AI assistant in a few limited ways, and we're specific about it:
    • The chat assistant on this website answers general questions only. It has no access to client records, so please don't share personal health details in that chat.
    • When we draft a care or reminder message with AI help, the tool works from generic placeholders (like “first name” and “weeks since last visit”) — your name, contact details, and chart values are not sent to it; we fill in your real details afterward, and a person reviews every message before it's sent.
    • If you transferred to us from another clinic, your old paper or PDF chart may be run through a third-party AI service (Anthropic, which may process it outside Alberta) one time, at our deliberate request, to help us read it into your record. The AI is only assisting: a person reviews what it produces against the original, and the original document always remains your record of care.
  • We never sell your information, and we only send marketing email if you separately opt in. Booking-related emails (confirmations, reminders) are always sent.
  • Who's responsible for your health record. Your health information is governed by Alberta's Health Information Act (HIA). Courtney Johnston, RN is the custodian responsible for it, and our privacy practices are overseen by the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (OIPC). Ordinary business and contact information may also be handled under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). To access or correct your information, or to ask any privacy question, contact hello@example.com.
